Karen has been in practice more years than she cares to mention! She has a particular passion for surgery, anaesthesia, and multimodal analgesia both during surgery and day to day in older patients. Pain relief is particularly close to her heart now that she has two geriatric dogs, a Working Cocker and Springer. She has participated in an array of courses aimed at managing pain relief and behaviour and aims to use her knowledge to make veterinary practices a less scary place for anxious patients.

Karen has spent the last 3 and a half years working in Emergency and Critical Care, and enjoyed ensuring the best care was provided for patients that required intensive medical management and monitoring.

While not at work Karen loves travelling both England and Europe in her motorhome and spending time with her 3 children and is delighted to be expecting a grandchild shortly.
