Opening on our new Premises in Beggarwood

The Hampshire Vet opened their new practice on the 4th September 2023. Jamie and Emily have put a huge amount of thought into the design and quality of build with the aim of providing the highest standard of animal care at the forefront of every step. We have designed our waiting rooms and consult rooms to feel more like a kitchen, as we know this is the heart of the home and hope to make your pets feel more relaxed when visiting us.
Unique features of the Hampshire Vet.
- Our floors within the waiting room are supplied by Floors 4 Paws and are Canine Arthritis Management approved. We have already seen the difference in comfort of elderly dogs when walking into our practice
- We have a separate cat waiting room and cat consult room. We know that cats prefer peaceful environments and in an already stressful experience would prefer not to be nose-to-nose with a canine companion.
- Separate cat and dog wards with spacious cages. We have 5 large walk and 8 banked kennels in our dog ward and our cattery cages are to ISFM (International Society of Feline Medicine) Gold Standard meaning both our canine and feline companions have ample space to recuperate.
- Overnight in patient care – No other practice in Basingstoke currently offers staffed overnight in patient care. We believe that the we will provide the best care for your pets to recover, should they need an overnight stay with us.
- Our mobile service – We will still continue to offer this service, however with the move we will primarily be a static practice.
Where are we?
Our new practice address is The Hampshire Vet, Shortwood Copse Lane, Beggarwood. Basingstoke. RG23 7NL.
If you are coming from junction 7 of the M3, take the A30 towards Basingstoke and continue along the A30 until you reach the turning for The Holly Blue pub. Turn right at the lights by the pub onto Beggarwood Lane. Follow the road around past the pub, with Shortwood Copse Lane on the right of the bend. We are located towards the bottom of Shortwood Copse Lane on the left.
If you are coming from Basingstoke town centre, take the A30 towards Sainsbury’s, continue straight over the roundabout for Sainsbury’s towards the M3. Turn left onto Beggarwood Lane at the next set of lights (you will see The Holly Blue pub in front of you). Follow the road around past the pub, with Shortwood Copse Lane on the right of the bend. We are located towards the bottom of Shortwood Copse Lane on the left.
Our Growing Team
With the move into the practice we have employed 8 new team members, all very experienced to provide the highest standard of care. We added 4 new nurses and 4 new receptions. Feel free to drop in and say hello.
