Jamie grew up locally in Hook, going to school in Odiham and sixth form college in Alton. He studied Biomedical Sciences at the University of Southampton before going on to qualify as a veterinary surgeon from The Royal Veterinary College. Having completed his certificate in Small Animal Medicine with commendation, he is working towards registration as an Advanced practitioner.

After qualifying Jamie returned to Hampshire, working in 3 local small animal veterinary hospitals, being clinical director of two. He has also spent time working within out of hours emergency clinics developing his emergency and critical care skill set. Jamie enjoys the variation of being a veterinary surgeon but has a particular interest in endocrinology and gastroenterology.  

Outside of work Jamie has a young family and a Cocker Spaniel to keep him on his toes. In the rare remaining free time, Jamie can often be found on the golf course.
